Elevate your miniature painting with CITADEL Layer 1 Troll Slayer Orange, a premium acrylic paint designed for smooth layering and consistent results. This single color can help you build depth and vibrancy across details, trims, and accents, bringing your models to life on the tabletop.

Why this paint stands out

• Part of a broad 70-color Citadel Paint range for versatile color planning
• Formulated to be applied directly over Citadel Base paints and other Layer paints without mixing
• 12 ml bottle size provides manageable, repeatable coverage for ongoing projects

The Troll Slayer Orange tone is designed to layer in translucent coats, allowing color shifts and subtle transitions as you work. Layer paints are crafted to build richness gradually, so you can retain control over shadows, midtones, and highlights to achieve a natural look on your miniatures.

Practical use cases and painting approach

In real-world sessions, you can use Troll Slayer Orange as a bold base for fiery accents, as a confident highlight on warm-toned areas, or as an eye-catching detail that helps edges pop under varied lighting. The color’s warmth works well for armor edges, fabric trims, and decorative elements, offering a lively contrast without overpowering neighboring tones.

• Multiple thin applications can yield richer, more nuanced color with controlled brightness
• Designed for straightforward layering over compatible base or layer coats
• Ideal for tabletop displays where consistent color and finish matter

Whether you’re assembling a small battalion of figures or detailing a diorama, Troll Slayer Orange gives you a vibrant option that blends with other hues in the Citadel range. The 12 ml format suits ongoing painting sessions, travel-friendly hobby setups, and routine color swaps as your project evolves.
